Since 1999, the Slyrs distillery has been producing the first and only Upper Bavarian sinlge malt whisky using the classic rough and fine distillation process. From barley malt and mountain spring water stored in new oak barrels with 225 liters, a vintage brandy is created, which is filled only in limited numbers of bottles. Slyrs Single Malt Whisky Amontillado Cask is aged for 2.5 years in new American white oak casks. The finish this whiskey receives more than 11 months in original amontillado casks. For this purpose, up to 50-year-old barrels from the famous Bodegas Tradición in Jerez, Spain, are used. Tasting notes:Color: Golden yellow. Nose: Ripe apples, vanilla, hazelnuts. Taste: Strong, spicy, nuts, salt. Finish: Long lasting.
